Who is Mukesh Chaudhary
I’m Mukesh Chaudhary, the founder of the digital marketing agency Zedwel. Coming from a farmer’s family, I’ve faced many challenges on my journey of building something meaningful. My story is about persistence, learning, and following my dreams with dedication.
My parents weren’t highly educated, so I didn’t have anyone to guide me academically. I ended up choosing Arts for my studies. After finishing school, I pursued a Bachelor of Arts in History and focused on completing my graduation as quickly as possible.
After 12th grade, I felt a pressure on me related to my career and future. My professional journey started when I joined Vodafone. This job helped me a lot in improving my communication and sales skills, however, it was a target-driven job and somewhere I know that it was not made for me. So, I decided to prepare for a government job and moved to the capital of Gujarat i.e. Gandhinagar, from Dhanera.
Convincing my family for this decision wasn’t an easy task. My father was worried because I was leaving a well established job. But I promised him that i’ll definitely find something that is made for me, before running out of my savings, i.e. ₹60,000. After reaching Gandhinagar, I joined classes and went to libraries to learn. But within one month, I realised that the competition for government jobs was very tough. So, within a month, I decided to shift my focus on learning one skill that could lead to a good job or a business.
In 2017, I decided to study Cybersecurity. After eight months of hard work, I got a job at Airtel as an IT Engineer. It was challenging because I didn’t have a technical background, but I worked hard. Later, I worked with the Adani Group through Wipro payroll, which was another great experience. But something was still missing. I knew I had a bigger vision, and that’s when I decided to take a risk.
In 2021, for the last time, I quit my job to start something on my own. My family was not happy with this decision of mine, especially when I had a stable job. But I knew I wanted to do something out of the box. Something that was never done in my family. I started exploring digital marketing through YouTube and started spending time on various digital marketing online courses. This helped me in building skills like video editing, content creating, graphic designing, social media management, SEO, etc. After this, I began working with different clients on a freelance basis.
Everything was going great, but during the second wave of COVID-19, I lost my father. It was the toughest time for me, I felt like all my plans and efforts were falling apart. For three months, I couldn’t think straight. But my family supported me and encouraged me to continue working on my goals. I returned to Gandhinagar and restarted freelancing and learning.
After coming back to Gandhinagar, I realized that freelancing alone wouldn’t help me in fulfilling my entrepreneurial dream. I partnered with two others to start a digital marketing agency. Unfortunately, due to a lack of experience, the business didn’t last long. Even though it was disappointing, I didn’t give up. I joined another agency part-time to learn how to run a business, manage staff, and handle clients.
In 2021, I started Zedwel Digital Marketing in Gandhinagar. I opened a small office in Infocity, Gandhinagar, and slowly built the business with the help of family, friends, and colleagues. The journey wasn’t easy, but I was determined to succeed. Two years later, I found a partner who shared my mindset and vision. Together, we worked hard and grew Zedwel into a successful agency.
Today, Zedwel Digital Marketing Agency is a symbol of hard work and dedication. My journey from a farmer’s son to an entrepreneur proves that with persistence and learning, you can achieve anything.
